“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill.
I have had plenty of failures. Just need a few more successes now. Nothing is more representative of Churchill’s quote here than learning a language. In my opinion, why you learn a language, it is almost constant failure until the mud starts to stick to the wall. Recently, I had been letting down my Chinese practice recently. Yesterday, however, I made up for it by getting a good few hours in.
Tomorrow, I am going on a mini adventure. My kind of adventure where I just take my tent and drive off. I am looking forward to getting away for a little while even though Covid derailled my plans slightly.
Accomplishments – Honestly, yesterday was a pretty good day. Diet was perfect, exercise and essay work done. Meditation is what I need to add in next. Forming a habit for meditation.
What could be done better – As mentioned meditation. I need to start meditating daily. Over the years I have drifted in and out of meditation. It definitely keeps the stress levels down though so I should do it more. Maybe just 5 minutes a day to start.
Gratitude – I am thankful for being able to adventure. Is adventure a verb? I’m grateful for it regardless. The more time I spend in the UK, the more I realise that I have changed. Adventure to me means taking my tent, not knowing where I am sleeping tonight. Apart from Rob, I haven’t spoken to anyone recently who shares this notion.
Today, will be a great day. I can feel it! There will be pictures tomorrow.
